Barbie embarked on her tattoo journey through a rigorous apprenticeship at one of Kansas City, Missouri’s most esteemed tattoo shops. After successfully completing her apprenticeship and dedicating nearly two decades to mastering her craft, Barbie returned to her hometown of DeKalb, Illinois. With her, she brought a wealth of knowledge and an extensive skill set acquired throughout her career, and she channeled this expertise into the establishment of Mindful Tattoo Collective. Barbie is committed to delivering the highest quality tattoo artistry while ensuring clients enjoy a seamless and delightful experience.

Erin began her journey as a tattoo artist through an apprenticeship in Elgin, IL, where she underwent formal training in tattooing techniques, including tracing line work and practicing on simulated skin. Continuing her apprenticeship at Mindful Tattoo, Erin is dedicated to refining her craft.
With a background in art from NIU’s esteemed art department, Erin leverages her formal education to elevate her tattooing skills. Her passion for art spans many years, fueling her commitment to delivering the highest quality work.
Bringing nearly a decade of customer service experience, Erin possesses a strong professional edge, ensuring a dedication to excellence in every tattoo she creates.
